where can i buy paintings in singapore? i am new to this and i want to start collecting paintings.?

i want to collect original paintings. since i am new to this,i want to start buying only cheap but original. and hopefully the painter will become famous someday. where can i go in singapore?

1. Singapore has art galleries (see below). Before you buy anything, visit several a number of times. Decide what you like, what sort of art attracts you. Visit museums, too, if you can, and talk to art gallery staffers about your interests and what they have available. You might also research art events and exhibitions of artists in Singapore and attend them. There may even be some sidewalk artists whose work you could examine. Buy what you like, but not before trying to learn the difference between quality work and cheap schlock. Not a few people have started to collect art on a limited income and ended up with valuable pieces, but they educated themselves first.
