Cheap bedding for children and teens?

We are becoming Foster Parents which means we need to remodel several rooms in our home. I would like to make the children feel comfortable, and for each of them to have their own space. I would like to purchase new bedding for each child - I need places to buy cheap comforters, sheets, and furniture. I live in a very rural area, so I would need to order on-line and have it shipped (another cost). I would love to find cheap wall decor as well. Thank you so much for your help. I live in Northern Maine (there are no stores around). I tried IKEA but most of the bedding textiles are not available to order on-line. I would love to make comforters, but time is the problem.

  2. i think that walmart would be good place to buy good bedding for kids or jcpennys isnt to bad either you could order online for both of them.good luck
  3. you could always sew the comforters and sheets. that way you could get exactly what you want for them and if you have some extra wood laying around, you could build furniture. It's cheaper than buying something and it will be of better quality so it lasts a long time. just an idea...
  4. In most major centres there are used furniture stores. Typically, these are run by Salvation Army, Goodwill, or St.Vincent de Paul, & other church related organizations. Your Children's Aid or Social Services may have contacts. Otherwise, approach a local church for help/transportation.
