How do i sell my art work online?

i love to paint and i was wanting to sell some of my work. i was thinking about our local art gallery, but is there anyone who knows how to sucessfully do it online?

1. Deviantart.com has many succesfull artists selling their work online. You can choose from selling canvas prints, cards and such, and it's relatively easy to use, with many price, quality, and sizing options. http://www.deviantart.com
2. i havent tried but u can probabally post it online on www.craigslist.org
3. best thing I'd recommend is http://www.etsy.com/ you can set up a store there!
