How do you promote yourself? (Art, online shops)?

I have an etsy shop where i sell jewelry and stuff, and a few online art galleries. I hardly make sales and I have no idea how to promote myself without being annoying.

1. Sometimes on weekends, I sit down & sign up for a bunch of blog giveaways...& there are always hundreds of other people signed up for them as well. One idea is to host a giveaway. You can either have another blogger do a review of one of your items & a giveaway...or, if you have a blog, do it there & then add your link to other popular blogs like the Money Saving Mom blog (see source link). To enter, have the people visit your shop & leave a comment with their favorite item. For another entry, have them mark your Etsy shop as a favorite. For another entry, have them become a fan of your fan page on facebook. For another entry have them Tweet about your shop on Twitter. Something like that. I've entered a few giveaways where I loved the Etsy shop or website so much, I went back & ordered something. Good luck!
