I made an online art gallery, but the images seem to be taking forever to load?

It's taking forever on my computer, at least. And when I scroll down, it gets stuck for a few seconds. Please check for me (and please have a look at some of my artwork too!) >>> http://eidrib.bravehost.com/artwork.htm If it IS taking forever on other computers, what can I do to make the pictures load faster? Nwooo there isn't supposed to be any pop-up ad! That's why I choose bravenet as my web host service. It's great. Why would I write so much detail if I just want to spread something infectious? Sob

1. I've taken a look at your gallery and your pictures don't load any slower than any other site. if you want them to load faster, you need to reduce the size of your Picture files. Photoshop has a good feature that allows you to "save for web" which reduce the size of the picture file for that specific purpose. As a rule, pictures on the Internet should not exceed 72dpi (pixels or dot per inch) for the resolution and the size (height X width) you want them to appear on your page. You could also use thumbnails (Small pictures) or icons in a table for viewers to click on and display a larger pictures so that people can load only the pictures they want to see. Too many pictures on one single page will take longer to load.
2. Maybe it's your computer, or your internet speed. I tried visiting the site and it was really fast in loading. Was there supposed to be a pop-up ad? ... You site isn't infected with something is it? Because if this was some kind of virus trap then that would really suck.
