What is the best web site for uploading art and photography to an online gallery?
I want to upload some of my work for display and feedback as I prepare to launch a photography business. I would like to share my work with the world to get noticed and get feedback. I was considering deviantart.com but was turned off by their user agreement. I don't want the work easily accessible for "borrowing". Please tell me what you fellow artists use! I would consider using a site that has a fee, but it depends on the benefits. Right now I want to quickly and easily put my work out there and I want others to find it easily as well. Thanks for your time!

- www.photobucket.com is awesome for you!!
- omg omg omg defienately! deviantart.com thats my homepage yo! they rock
- photobucket.com is a good website for sharing photos. It will even generate the URL s so you can post them to web sites. If you set it without a password, you will be able to share it with any one who wants to view them. I use it to keep my family up to date with my activities and be able to print any pictures of mr events they want for keepsakes.
- One Model Place has many categories for showing your work. Take a look at the link below.
- Here's a couple I use: http://myartplot.com http://myartprofile.com
- My most favourite is flickr.com There is also http://www.sheezyart.com/ ... my friend uses that for art, but I'm not sure about photos. Or http://www.worth1000.com/ which has like photography contests and stuff.
- well i belong to a great site as a photographer or artist you can put up to 500 photos on the site and in just a short time 1000's of people well see your work and net work with you. www.modellaunch.com other sites for art and photography would be www.imagestation.com no limit to how many photos you have there. model launch is my fav tho. good luck hope you get filthy rich
- Stock.XCHNG http://www.sxc.hu I'm not a photographer but I use quite a bit of photography for design work. When I don't commission a local photographer for something specific or use commercial stock I always troll around on stock xchange to see if anything works for me. The few pieces that I did use from there I had the users blessing, gave them credit on the piece and send them the final work. They seemed to be keen to have their work used in something. That might not be the kind of exposure your looking for but I thought Id share. Also users rate and comment on your work. You can restrict usage to your work: //----------------------------- The following levels of restrictions are available on SXC: * Standard restrictions apply In this case the photo can be used for any purpose listed in the Image license agreement. * Contact for public use In this case the user has to notify you when using the photo just to let you know that it will be used. * Contact and credit for public use This is the same as the above, except that the user will have to credit you in the product / website / etc. where your photo gets used. * Written permission needed The user will only be able to download the photo if you grant permission on our online interface (see My account / Requests). You can make a decision based on the data they enter in our request //----------------------------- Cheers
- www.deviantart.com you can also see mine: http://blakium.deviantart.com
- www.usefilm.com Has many more professional photographers and you get more professional feedback than things like Deviantart. Not that I'm bashing them. I have my own DA page as well. Usefilm is free, but only allows you to upload 1 picture a day unless you pay for it.
- Take a look at the following: http://www.photo.net http://www.shadowness.com http://www.thehideaway.org http://www.neverside.com The first one seems to have the most professional quality.
- try photocritique.net. Good work, constructive criticism
