I have this back room that I want to turn into an art studio/workspace. Any ideas?
It's a large room with about 8 windows along 2 walls. It is rectangular shape and has a soft apricot/melon color that I can't change. I want to turn it into a chic yet comfortable art studio and workspace where I can work and teach art and store my collection of records. Any cheap ideas of arranging furniture, adding accents, etc...would be most appreciated!

- Hmm I don't know too much about decorating but I'm into art too. Maybe you could get a few work space desks that you could pick up from your local charity store or a garage sale even if you're looking for something inexpensive. They won't be the best but you sould jazz them up a bit, just make sure their in partly good condition. You could also get a few cheap chairs for the desks from a garage sale or charity store too (wooden stools would probably be better than seats with mouldy, used cushions on them.) Because you have so many windows, If you don't like having 8 (seems a lot for a back room) you could decorate them with glass paints or even just sit artworks against them. A small lounge with a few brightly coloured scatter cushions can change the look of a room a lot. Posters, artworks or even photos put on the walls can take away the apricot/melon colour on your walls if you dont like it so much. Not sure if you'd need a blackboard or maybe a small whiteboard to get your message across when teaching (these are available from almost everywhere). Shows or magazines like Better Homes and Gardens should have good advice on decoarating or even your local gardening and home dec store. Hope I helped.
