Cheap Paintings

What is the most inexpensive way to get a really large poster or print on my wall?

I want to get one of those really large prints on canvas to hang on my wall, like 36x36 or larger (like an art gallery setup) but they are too expensive. Can anyone suggest some cheaper options?

2. What about finding a funky piece of fabric, like at a Crate & Barrel outlet, and mount it on a wood frame? A friend of mine did that and it looks really cool.
