Looking for cheap wall art ideas? Where can I get canvas prints or some other kind of wall art for a good price. In other words I am looking for something big that I can either make myself (which I am not an artist) or buy that would be less than $150. And by big I mean around 4 or 5 five long. I really like the pictures that are on different canvases, but I am looking more or less for a good deal. Anybody know any good websites?? or anything??? Thanks.

Best display Walls for art fairs for cheap? I'm trying to find lightweight easy to assemble boards for a 10' x 10' space for art fairs. I've seen cubicle walls but those are very heavy. I've also seen professional display boards and those are very expensive. The best thing I've seen are metal framework sorts of things that I am not sure what exactly you would call. Framing Music Albums as wall art? So im moving into a new apartment and looking for a unique and cheap way to decorate the place. as a huge music fan with diverse tastse i got the idea of going on to ebay or some music store and buying some cheap retro vinyl records (12x12 kind) and framming them (the album art work, not the record). Art/wall decor for teen bedroom? My room was recently re-painted. The walls are a tan color with one accent wall that is a cornflower/periwinkle blue. Attaching thin cheap plywood to a brick wall, as non invasive as possible? Im doing an interactive art piece and need to leave as little changed as possible. I need to securely attach plywood to a brick wall without risk of cracking the bricks so i was thinking of attaching anchor screws to the mortars but was told that wouldn't be secure enough. how do i hide a projector for my art display? i am making an art display and need to project down onto an umbrella. but i need a way of mounting the projector and then hiding it. i was thinking of building a cheap wall with shelves at the back and a hole for the projection to come through, kind of like in cinemas. how could i do this cheaply. or do you have any other suggestions?

Acrylic Paint on Bamboo to Create Wall Art? Any Help or Ideas Appreciated!? I bought a few bamboo beach mats (cheap!) and was thinking of painting (acrylic) designs or stripes on them to create some wall art. Nothing very fancy, just something to take up space and add color to a blank wall! My question ... I don't exactly know how to do this ... should I prime the mats before I paint? What type paint is best ... I have both artist's and craft acrylics ... the area is pretty large, so would craft paint be OK? (I'd hate like heck to waste good-quality paint on this if it doesn't work!) How to finish it ... varnish? I want to hang it in a bathroom, eventually ... what finish (or product) would protect the painting? The bathroom is well-ventilated, but I want something that will stand up to the humidity. I WILL scuff the bamboo a bit with sandpaper ... didn't think of that! Great suggestion! I think I will use stain around the perimeter of the design to keep the woodgrain, and dilute the acrylic for the painting so the wood shows through a bit. I want a kinda weathered, uneven look to it when it's finished. You all gave me great suggestions ... now how do I choose the best one?

Large Wall Art? Hi, I have for some time been interested in large format photos for hanging on walls as decortive art. Ideally I would like to be able to take my own photos and transfer them onto a large surface say 3 meters by 1 meter. Looking around online and in the shops in the UK, I have been able to find nothing like this anywhere. When in Frankfurt, Germany recently, I was sitting in a cafe and there they were. Large images of countryside on what looked like canvas. How do they do this? Is it easy? Is it cheap? I want it too! Where can you get this?

solid color wall art too boring? I am making wall panels to decorate my naked living room walls. I found fake suede fabric and covered foam board with it and it looks pretty but there's nothing on it. My idea is to install 4 heavy duty casters on double layered 3/4 plywood at 1' wide and 4' long. Then on top of that build a skeleton frame out of 1x4s and attach 1/4 ply to the frame. Does anyone have a better/ cheaper idea on how to do this?
